Willis Russell Gibson was an inspiration to all the Smilemakers at Toys for God’s Kids. His tireless efforts brought joy to thousands and thousands of kids.
Russ single-handedly drilled wheels for our cars in South Dakota at Heather Gardens. The other Smilemakers had trouble just keeping up with his wheel production. Russ also assembled cars for us in his home workshop, aided by his daughters. Toys For God’s Kids would truck supplies to his home and then pick up the completed goods.
He was a great inspiration for all of us. Russ will be greatly missed.
